The new iCollegeWeb look

Dear fellow students,

We have spent quite a bit of time and effort to bring you the new iCollegeWeb design.

The old 2002 ugly table-based HTML design is out, and the new 2010 CSS-style design is in.

Tell us what you think, and any features you’d like for us to add!

Thank you,
Steve, adminstrator

I dislike it. It’s messy. I search for a book and it spits out a bunch of listings with no sorting options or organization in sight — just, BLAM — listings.

I few of the links are broken — along with your site. Click on any of the top-left links.

What is the main focus of this website anyway? You don’t design so people kno exactly what they are doing. What is it that your site is good at, that other sites don’t have?

You have the capability of creating such value for students, but you just don’t focus on what students want / need.

Are you a hard core developer rather than a designer?

      Hey Boris,

Thanks for your feedback! Let us know what we can do to improve the design/functionality – after all, this is a website for the students, and run by the students.

We have noticed, too, the top left links that are linking back to our /beta site and our programmer will fix them by tomorrow – thanks!

Now, regarding the main focus of the site that is not clear – that’s a big problem. We will look into how we can make our site’s mission and purpose stand out more.

This site is designed for students to buy & sell textbooks. You can think of it as a Craigslist for used textbooks.

Tell us, what do students (you) want/need?

We are a team of developers/designer and marketers so we can make changes as we go to better serve students like yourself.

      Appreciate your feedback!

      Thanks!
      Steve, admin

Not bad at all. I think it’s much more organized and easier to use.
